Who am I?
My background
I graduated in 2007 and have been teaching French as a foreign language for almost 15 years. I have worked in different training centers and schools in Wallonia and Brussels. In parallel to my work, in 2011, I went back to school to obtain a Master's degree in Didactics of French and Languages at the Sorbonne-Nouvelle, in Paris. I also trained in Didactics of French at the University of Louvain-la-Neuve and passed the DELF exam in 2015.
Wanting to create my own online school, I launched Bruxelles, j'arrive to offer expats an effective alternative to classroom courses.
I now live in Italy, where I have taken my business online.

My name is Marie-Ange Hottelet.
I am a French teacher who is passionate about her job. I am Belgian and I love to share my culture and my language..
In life, I like movies, books, climbing, hiking, traveling, learning languages (I speak English and Italian)... and so many other things.

My teaching philosophy
I am convinced (even more so since I am an expatriate myself) that speaking the language of the country where you live enhances your life experience. Going to the commune, dealing with an emergency, making friends... everything is easier when you can communicate.
For me, it is also very important to teach authentic French, as it is spoken by native speakers, and not only the rules of the written language.
Learning a language is above all about being independent, being able to communicate without stress and opening up to another culture.
